The project Aphrodite takes inspiration from

                                                Ancient Greek art and deals with the theme of beauty ideals

                              represented by the female form. De-constructing and re-synthesising

       famous works of art such as the sculpture Venus de Milo and The Birth of Venus

by Botticelli, it examines mythological concepts and imagery that have defined the

idea of idealised beauty. It comments on their fragility and re-imagines them using

   a contemporary lens

                                    through which beauty has no single form.
